The Office for People and Culture (PAC) supports change management across the CU Denver campus as an important component of the university’s professional learning and development efforts. Through training, resources, and one-on-one support, PAC is coordinating across offices to build the capacity of leaders, faculty, and staff to effectively lead, navigate, and sustain change.
Change management focuses on the people side of change, recognizing that successful change depends not only on what is changing, but also on how people understand, experience, and engage with that change. A consistent and practical approach helps strengthen communication, create opportunities for meaningful engagement, and ensure that those impacted by change feel informed, supported, and included throughout the process. This helps foster an environment where change is shaped with our campus community, rather than simply introduced to it.
A consistent approach to change management is also essential to ensuring that campus initiatives are successfully adopted and sustained over time. To support this work, PAC is developing and offering change management trainings in partnership with the Office of Strategic Impact.
These trainings equip the campus community with a shared approach, common vocabulary, and practical tools to lead and implement change effectively within the schools, colleges, and units of CU Denver. By strengthening change management capabilities across the university, PAC seeks to support successful transitions, increase readiness and adoption, strengthen communication and engagement, and foster a campus culture that is equipped to navigate change effectively.
